1. What is GPF?

A Gasoline Particulate Filter (GPF), also known as a Petrol Particulate Filter (PPF), is an emissions control device used in modern gasoline-powered vehicles to reduce particulate matter (soot) emitted from the exhaust system.

Like the Diesel Particulate Filter (DPF) in diesel engines, the GPF traps fine particles produced during the combustion process in gasoline direct injection (GDI) engines.
